Georgiana William Kilburn, Flower Meadow Tapestry Weave (limited sale price stock)
Product Code: LFX10747
An exquisite design featuring summer flowers, based on the designs of the eighteenth century artist William Kilburn (1745 - 1818). Kilburn was a leading designer and printer of calico, as well as an illustrator for the Flora Londinensis. Many of his water colour designs, which make up the Kilburn Album, are now housed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This design is based on one of his complex and beautiful designs and demonstrates his use of floral motifs, mixed with ribbons, seaweed and exotic leaves.
