Sofa reupholstery involves a lot more than simply recovering with new fabric. A sofa, to be properly upholstered, should be stripped back to the frame, whereupon all the joints should be checked for wear and secured, any worn or non-regulation products should be removed and new foam and/or padding applied. Finally, the sofa should be given a new outer fabric to restore it to its former splendour.
