At Loome we are trying hard to make our fabrics more sustainable and with the lowest environmental impact.

The vast majority of our fabrics are sourced from UK or European manufacturers, not imported from distant countries which would involve greater transportation and associated CO2 emissions.

Recently we have increased the proportion of our fabrics which are made from natural yarns such as cotton, linen and wool. These yarns have a lower impact on the environment and do not involve petrochemicals.

Our prints are created using digital printing which uses fewer dyes, and also means less waste as we only print small runs and have no 'remnants' to dispose of.

We recycle all our own packaging materials. Although we still use plastic to wrap some of the fabrics we send out, this plastic is recyclable. Furthermore, if you send it back to us in good condition we will re-use for another order.
