Christopher Lebeau Fabrics
Christopher Lebeau Fabrics
Christopher Lebeau (1878–1945) was one of the Netherlands’ most celebrated Art Nouveau artists, known for his striking designs that translated seamlessly into textiles. His fabrics are instantly recognisable for their flowing, organic forms and intricate repeat patterns that often draw inspiration from nature. Motifs of stylised flowers, leaves, seed pods, and exotic plants are arranged with a rhythmic precision, giving each design both movement and harmony. Lebeau was a master of colour: he often used rich, layered palettes that ranged from earthy tones to jewel-like shades, creating depth and vibrancy in woven and printed fabrics. His compositions balance decorative detail with bold silhouettes, making them equally impactful from a distance and up close. These designs embody the spirit of the early 20th century, when textiles were not only functional but also works of art for the home. Today, Lebeau’s fabrics remain admired for their timeless elegance, sophisticated artistry, and the way they bridge the worlds of fine art and interior design.Sorry, we couldn't find any products
