Cerise Fabric
The Oxford English Dictionary gives 1858 as the first use of the word "cerise" as a colour name in English. However, a book of crochet patterns fomr 1845 uses the word. In French "cerise" means cherry, but in modern usage the colour has more of a dark pink element to it than the colour of any natural cherry. Cerise fabric is lively, energetic, funky, vibrant and can be used to make beautiful eye-catching furniture and curtains.
